iPhone Slide Keyboard Provides a Physical Landscape
When it comes to technology, I’ll be the first to admit I’m the guy that runs with the herd. When we’re making progress forward, I usually agree that the new system/operating system/ phone is a significant improvement over its predecessors and therefor will eventually replace them.
Out with the old and in with the new, right? Unfortunately, there is one aspect of smart phone tech where I feel I’m in the minority. Physical keys. Smartphones as a whole rely on a virtual keyboard to get typing done, and this is true of tablets like the iPad as well. Call me old fashioned, but I much prefer the feel of a physical QWERTY keyboard set. Thankfully, even if you have an iPhone, this slide out keyboard can provide you with that convenience.
This slick little slide out keyboard pairs with your iPhone 4 via Bluetooth. If you’re worried about the virtual keys popping up and annoying you, don’t be, as the board also prevents the virtual keys from appearing. This effectively doubles your viewable area, quite a perk in a land where screen real estate is paramount. The case is made of a hard plastic and attaches nicely so you can slide it in and out of your pocket. All of the access ports are thankfully instantly accessible as well. Battery power is fairly impressive, providing up to 45 days of use after a four-hour charge. For $99.95, that’s about what I’d expect for a serious smart phone accessory.
Now a cool slide out keyboard might not be enough for the awesomeness of your iPhone 4, but we h/ave other accessories we have featured here on Gadgethim as well. You can set your iPhone up as a Mini Remote to control everything, for example.
